As an individual professional

Professionals working with young people are one of the most important groups of people influencing young people’s behaviour.

Inappropriate language, attitudes and behaviours can be ignored…or they can be challenged. To stop the sigma of mental ill-health you have a responsibility to address stigma with young people and ensure that stigma does not have a place in your organisation.

Circulating the ‘see me….’ workplace campaign materials to colleagues is an easy way to get the message of the campaign to the whole organisation, and might encourage staff to lead by example. You can download or order campaign materials for the ‘see me’ public and workplace campaigns.

There are a number of ways you can get involved as an individual. In this section, you will also find practical activities and tools you can use in your work to get the message across to young people.
